The Mid-life Crazy Man

Friday’s Phoriday experience was at Green Leaf Vietnamese Restaurant. As part of my new mission to try new Seattle pho restaurants every few weeks, Matt and I took a short drive to Belltown to try one of his regular stops on the Vietnamese soup highway.

The soup was nice, I’d give it three out of five stars, but not nearly as good as our regular place. It’s the broth, as usual, as the ingredients are pretty much the same for a beef pho no matter where you go.The broth was beefy but not hot enough and it lacked a certain subtle smooth mouth feel that I’ve come to appreciate at our regular stop.

Regardless, it was still tasty and a worth stop for my phoriday soup fix.
